Ken-Flex Rubber Flapper Check
Overview
The Ken-Flex resilient hinged check valve is a versatile solution to most problems associated with swing check valves. It reduces slamming while offering a quick seal. Due to its simplicity, the Ken-Flex is ideal for 'dirty water' applications, and is designed to give years of trouble-free operation. The Ken-Flex has been tested for one million cycles and still maintainted a bubble-tight seal.
The Ken-Flex is opened by the fluid flow in one direction and closes automatically to prevent flow in the reverse direction. The valve is a swing check valve which uses an angled seat and an encapsulated, resilient disc. It is intended for cold water, including systems containing suspended solids. The flow direction, size, maximum working pressure, and figure number are cast into the valve body. The 'rated pressure' of 250 psi is the non-shock pressure rating of the valve at 150 degrees. The valve is not intended as an isolation valve for line testing above the valve rating. The Ken-Flex is available with flanged ends, in sizes 4" - 12".
