For the 5th straight year, Tyler Union helped sponsor and participated in the Calhoun County Earth Day Activities at Cane Creek Community Gardens at Fort McClellan.  They invited over 1,000 fourth-graders from all Calhoun County public and private schools to a day of learning and hands-on activities centered around Earth Day.

Tyler Union Environmental Manager Jerome McQueen talked to the students about how Tyler Union recycles metal and manufactures products that deliver water resources to their homes. Other team members including Chris Hyche, Renea McGathy, Amanda Ward, Amanda Thrasher, Sara Tongsuvone, Mark Vess, and Ajay Roy held Earth Day workshops that included water/canoe safety, water rescue procedures and rope tossing.

These Earth Day activities are only one of the many examples of Tyler Union’s commitment to environmental excellence at our manufacturing facility and in the community.
